HISTORY: The Shah grew up a poor boy in the slums of Cairo, his mother used to take him with her when she went begging. Sitting in the hot sun on dirty rags he would see the rich Westerners walking by, pointedly ignoring him and the other beggars. The man who was to become the Shah became jealous of what he thought was the unending wealth possessed by those same Westerners, he also felt they were keeping wealth from him as a plot to enslave the Arabic world. As he grew up his hatred of the west grew, he spent hours everyday reading and listening to every piece of anti-western dogma and philosophy he could find. Upon reaching legal age he eagerly joined the military, confident that he would soon be joining a holy crusade against the western world. He even volunteered to participate in a secret government project designed to awaken superhuman powers in the test subjects. The procedure had no apparent effect on him, and he was sent back to the military. The Jihad he hoped for never came, instead he found himself fighting other Middle Easterners in the Iran-Iraq war. Disillusioned he left the military as soon as he was able. Possessing useful skills, and a fanatical hatred of all things western he joined a small terrorist group and quickly worked his way up in the ranks. Now he controls the group, it has no name being called simply "The Shah's Army". The Shah desires to destroy the "heathen" west, and almost everything he does is either to increase his power or to strike at the west. The superhuman project that the Shah participated in did actually grant him power, but he was not aware of it until the stress of battle brought it out. The Shah himself is now an Energy Vampire, he feeds off the life forces of other human beings. So far he has been able to keep this a secret. He feeds off of prisoners, personally "executing" them in private. He also keeps a large harem of women with their vocal cords removed as a stable food supply. In an emergency he would drain one of his troopers, making sure he was dead. The Shah will never feed off of any of the Armored Troops, who make up his personal guard and heavy assault force. The Shah took his name to claim rulership of Iran. He feels that the current government is too weak and he could do a much better job. So far he has not moved against the rightful government but he is building his forces and waiting for the proper time... "The Shah" © 1996 Eric Jackson
