HISTORY: Not very much has been revealed of Grunge's past. What is know is the he, along with the rest of the Gen13 teens, is the child of one of the members of Team 7. He was given a scholarship into a "special" government run school. The school was actually a front for the intelligence agency IO. They were trying to identify and control the next generation of gen-active supers, the so called Gen13.

It is not clear if Grunge knew Freefall before arriving at IO, but by the time Fairchild joined they were officially an item. After finding out about IO's ulterior motives Grunge and the rest of Gen13 escaped, with the help of John Lynch.

Grunge's powers allow him to take on the physical properties of anything he touches. He can also gain secondary powers related to the object he touches. For example, after touching a fire hydrant his body turned into red metal and he was able to shoot jets of water from his hands.

Grunge has a typical surfer-dude mentality, he is interested in girls, skateboarding, girls, music, girls, partying, and lets not forget girls. Grunge's wandering eye is forever earning him the wrath of Freefall.
