Mohammed Falde grew up in Iran, he was a child when the Shah was overthrown by religious fundamentalists. He liked the teachings of Khomeini and the other fundamentalists and he began to believe that only a Jihad could cleanse the world of sin.
When he was old enough he joined the military where he saw major action in the Iran-Iraq war. The idea that he was fighting fellow Arabs rankled and he left the army. What he really wanted to do was strike at the weak decadent west. Upon mustering out he got his wish. A special government program had begun researching the possibility of creating superhuman agents. He volunteered at once.
Using cybernetic implants and technology bought or stolen from dozens of sources the researchers where able to graft artificial wings onto Mohammed. The wings allow him to fly at speeds reaching 250 mph. The metal feathers making up the wings are razor sharp and can slash like a sword. His skin was also layered with a thin mesh of metal giving him great protection from damage.
Taking the name Desert Hawk Mohammed became the first Iranian super. The program has continued but has not had much success. Most of the augmented people die due to stress caused by new parts or imbalances in chemical makeup. Part malfunctions and improper grafting also cause many to die.
Desert Hawk revels in the use of his new powers. He now works as a semi-free agent, specializing in terrorism. He will hire himself out to any group planning actions against the west.
